Graduating in the United States is a possibility that attracts many people – after all, among the best universities in the world, many of them are in the country. U.S. higher education is still quite expensive for foreigners, but there are a number of universities in the country that offer scholarships to foreign students through annual programs. Many universities offer scholarships outside of their regular financial support programs. If you apply to study at a U.S. institution and demonstrate that you can only enroll with financial support, it is possible that it will offer some kind of help.
The type and amount of aid varies widely. It can range from a tuition discount to tuition fee waiver and guaranteed on-campus accommodation. These universities, in general, annually allocate an amount to students who have this type of need. If you have good grades, the chances of receiving this help are greater.

1. Harvard
For those without a scholarship, Harvard is far from cheap, but the world’s most prestigious university is one of the few in the U.S. that has a “need blind” recruitment policy for students from outside the country. This means that if you apply there and recruiters like you, Harvard will give you the financial support you need to study there, even if you need full scholarships. But it is worth remembering that Harvard is also one of the most crowded universities in the world, so your candidacy needs to be very good.
2. MIT
Like Harvard, MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) is another of the most renowned universities on the planet. And it also has a “need blind” recruitment policy for foreign students — although it’s quite expensive for those who go to study without a scholarship. The same warning that goes for Harvard holds true here: the institute of technology is extremely crowded. Other than that, if you’re chosen for graduation there, you’ll also need to demonstrate that you have a financial need—it’s not enough to say, you have to demonstrate.
3. Yale
Yale, like Harvard, is part of the Ivy League, a group of eight institutions of higher learning in the United States that combine tradition and academic excellence (and that often have very expensive tuition). It is the second Ivy League institution that has a “need blind” recruitment policy. That is: it offers full scholarships to international students who submit impressive applications. But that’s only if they demonstrate that they need the financial support to carry out the studies.

Also in the Ivy League, Princeton often ranks among the best in the world and also has a “need blind” recruiting policy. For foreign students who need the full scholarship, therefore, it is a great choice.
5. Berea College
Berea College is a “liberal arts” college in the state of Kentucky that offers virtually a degree for free in the U.S. “Liberal arts” is a type of degree that favors interdisciplinarity. The college is committed to offering scholarships of up to 100% and financial support to international students during the first year of studies. Students need to make a $2,200 deposit to secure their spot (but the institution gives partial scholarships for that deposit as well, if the student proves need) and pay a $50 entrance fee. The university usually receives applications annually, in the middle of the year.
6. Illinois Wesleyan
University Located in the state of Illinois, Wesleyan University has three scholarship programs to support international students who want to study there. They range from $16,50 a year to the total cost of tuition, which is as high as $<>,<> a year, depending on the course. That is, you can do the graduation there with 30% to 100% scholarship, depending on the program. The university usually receives applications every year, in the first months of the year.
7. University of Oregon
The University of Oregon has a program that may be of interest to Brazilian students. 8. Emory University
